Hi Geralyn! It's been decades! Yes, I found it on the NYT site - albeit practically in Time Machine mode! Will double-check to make sure the link stayed in...
Happy New Year! I adored your Kyoto guide & am curious if you have similar recos for Tokyo? I’m turning 50 this year & instead of a big party my husband & I are planning a return trip to Japan…
I am old-school with the Diptyque, which is why I still love the first candle I chose in 1990 in Paris best (not kidding—also it is Oranger not Orangerie 🤣). I used to buy beaded necklaces there, too (?) Otherwise, I have not branched out beyond the bougies and the perfumes. But now I am intrigued.
I had a bouillabaisse special - we shared the bread with trout roe, the tartare, the cabbage with bottarga and an amazing profiterole. I went all out sipping La Pera Loca while staring at that Cindy Sherman!!
Did you find the La Caravelle cocktail recipe? I probably have it in some very d files if you still need!

Thanks for reaching out! When are you going? The Tokyo guide is in the works...

The Siena show is breathtaking! As for Diptyque, I am Orangerie for life.
Ooh! New to me, but will seek out. Do you have any of their home products? Sheila O'Shea gave me the magical ceramic drawer disc and I love it.

I lunched with friends at Manuela upon your recommendation and it was fantastic!
Fantastic! What did you have, and which art was your favorite?

Heaven! So great to have a place in SoHo that's not a scrum.
